Our client who is a leading “Financial Firm” is looking for experienced “Recovery Officers” to work in their US office immediately.
Job Description
The Recovery Officer is responsible for the collection of debts prior to legal recovery proceedings commencing, negotiating payments/payment arrangements, handling debtor inquiries, and provides administrative assistance to the team.Job Requirements
- Age below 40 years.
- A diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a similar field is preferred.
- Proven experience working at a recognized Financial Institution as a Recovery Officer.
- Familiarity with debt collection laws.
- Knowledge of payment plans and accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of office and accounting software.
- Ability to create trusted relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues.
- Ability to communicate with judgment, diplomacy, and tact with customers from various backgrounds.
- Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence.
- Ability to be patient and resilient when dealing with customers.
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
